Group Classes
IBT offers group classes in a variety of foreign languages, as well as ESL (English as a Second Language).

The instructor will evaluate your proficiency in the language in order to determine which level is best for you.

A native speaking instructor with experience teaching adults teaches foreign language classes. Teaching references include Thomson Multimedia, Eli Lilly and Company, and Limagrain.

Typically, group classes meet for 2 hours every week for 10 weeks. There is a minimum of 5 students and a maximum of 12 students per class. These classes meet at the IBT office classrooms or, if preferred, may meet at the client company site. All class work may be supplemented with your industry-specific vocabulary.

English as a second language may be taught to your workforce at your company either before or after your employee’s daily schedule. Class work will include your daily workplace vocabulary to immediately benefit your workers on their jobs.

And, if your managers wish to learn Spanish to better communicate with your Hispanic employees, your company’s industry-specific vocabulary may be included in the Spanish instruction.

Private Classes
IBT offers private and semi-private classes in a variety of foreign languages, as well as ESL (English as a Second Language).

Private classes allow for more attention to your particular needs, help you progress faster, and can be scheduled according to your calendar. Private classes may meet for 1 or 2 hours per week, or more often if your schedule permits, and are available in blocks of 10 or more hours.

Semi-private classes are typically 2-4 students who are at comparable proficiency levels and share similar goals, such as conversation skills for business travel. Semi-private classes also meet for 1 or 2 hours per week and are available in blocks of 10 or more hours.

If requested, our private classes can include acculturation as well as language instruction. This is especially helpful for professionals or spouses of professionals moving to the U.S. In addition to learning a new language, instruction includes local field trips to better acclimate the student to life in his/her new home.

ESL classes for professionals best serve the working executive’s time limitations with private instruction. In addition, English report and business letter writing may be added to the ESL class, or may be ordered as a separate class for those who need writing skills instruction only. All class work may be supplemented with your industry-specific vocabulary.
